Smart Urban Farming Berbasis Internet Of Things (IoT)
Abstract
Abstrak: Penerapan Internet of Things (IoT) dibidang pertanian perkotaan (urban farming) menjadi salah satu solusi permasalahan yang ditemukan pada budidaya hidroponik melalui proses pemeliharaan jarak jauh menggunakan smartphone. Beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi tanaman hidroponik tumbuh dengan baik adalah factor pencahayaan, suhu, kelembaban, kondisi PH tanaman dan kadar nutrisi. Mikrokontroller ESP 32 sebagai CPU board yang berfungsi sebagai pengendali utama dari keseluruhan sistem atau dapat disebut sebagai otak dari sistem penggerak sensor PH, sensor TDS, sensor LUX dan sensor DHT. Tujuan penelitian menerapkan IoT pada urban farming untuk petani hidroponik agar mempermudah dalam proses pemeliharaan tanaman hidroponik. Metode penelitian meliputi tahapan perencanaan rancangan penelitian, pengetesan komponen, desain sistem mekanik, desain sistem listrik, desain perangkat lunak, test fungsional, integrasi atau perakitan, tes fungsional keseluruhan sistem. Penerapan model smart urban farming berbasis IoT para budidaya tanaman hidroponik dapat memberi nutrisi dan mengontrol kadar PH secara otomasi dan dikendalikan oleh aplikasi smartphone.Kata kunci: hidroponik, internet of things, smart urban farming,
Abstract: The application of Internet of Things (IoT) in urban farming is one of the solutions to problems found in hydroponic cultivation with a remote maintenance process using a smartphone. Some of the factors that affect hydroponic plants grow well are lighting factors, temperature, humidity, plant pH conditions and nutrient levels. ESP 32 microcontroller as a CPU board that functions as the main controller of the entire system or can be referred to as the brain of the PH sensor drive system, TDS sensor, LUX sensor and DHT sensor. The research objective is to apply IoT to urban farming for hydroponic farmers to make it easier in the process of maintaining hydroponic plants. The research method includes the stages of research design planning, component testing, mechanical system design, electrical system design, software design, functional testing, integration or assembly, the overall functional test of the system. The application of IoT-based smart urban farming model, hydroponic cultivation can nourish and control PH levels automatically and is controlled by a smartphone application.
